- You only need extra practice and already have a taught foundation, which is what the US$999 Mega Test Bank (a test bank with a digital book) is sold for

Introduction
Gleim is built around a large question bank (a set of exam-style practice questions). Premium adds recorded video lectures and Traditional adds audio lectures, but neither has a live teacher. That suits someone who already understands cost accounting and financial reporting. Learning them from scratch usually needs a teacher who answers questions as you go.
Two things make the decision harder for Indian candidates. Gleim prices its courses in US dollars, so what you pay in rupees depends on the exchange rate on the day. The CMA (Certified Management Accountant) exam also changed: from the September/October 2026 testing window, case-based questions replaced the essay questions on the English-language exam. Any older Gleim PDF now prepares you for a format that no longer appears.
This page sets out what each Gleim product contains and how to cost it against rupee-priced classes. It then gives six checks that tell you whether a question bank alone is enough. iProledge teaches CMA USA, so we are one of the two options compared here, and we say where Gleim is the better fit.
Key takeaways
- If you need the CMA USA syllabus taught, join iProledge's CMA USA coaching (₹60,000 weekend or ₹80,000 weekday batch). Gleim's question bank suits only candidates who already know the accounting content.
- Gleim's full courses cost US$1,499 (Traditional) or US$1,799 (Premium) for both parts as of November 2026. At about ₹94 per dollar (6 November 2026, our calculation) that is about ₹1.41 lakh and ₹1.69 lakh. Gleim Traditional costs more than our weekday tuition at any exchange rate above ₹53.37 per dollar.
- Case-based questions (CBQs) replaced essays on the English-language CMA exam from the September/October 2026 window. Check any edition or PDF for CBQ practice before you study from it.
- Run the six checks below before paying anyone. Five or more passes means a question bank can carry you. Fewer means classes will serve you better.
Should you buy Gleim CMA review or join CMA USA classes?
For an Indian candidate who needs the CMA USA syllabus taught, we recommend iProledge's CMA USA coaching. CMA USA here means the Certified Management Accountant credential awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), not the Indian qualification from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI); our CMA full form page explains the difference.

When should you choose iProledge over Gleim CMA review?
Choose us when you want to be taught the syllabus, pay in rupees and have a person to ask. Five reasons, each tied to something we offer:
- You learn better from a teacher. Our CMA USA classes run in blended, live online and onsite formats. Our course resources include recordings, so you can revisit a topic you missed.
- You want a rupee price. Our tuition is ₹80,000 for the weekday batch and ₹60,000 for the weekend batch. You know the cost before you start.
- You want practice inside the course. Our course resources include study materials, practice questions and mock tests, so you do not need to buy a second product to practise.
- You want fast answers. Doubt clearing, study planning and mentoring are part of our support. Our call line answers within 5 minutes, WhatsApp within 30 minutes and email within 24 hours.
- You want to see it before you pay. We run free demo classes and expect you to meet our career advisors first. Admission takes under 15 minutes, and you can pay by UPI, net banking, card or a flexible payment plan.
Behind these is a record across our programmes: we were founded in 2015 and have trained 16,000+ students across our CA, CS, CMA and ACCA courses.
Which route fits you? Six checks with a pass or fail
Five or more passes means a question bank alone can carry you. Four or fewer means classes will serve you better. This is our recommendation, built from the checks below.
- Prior knowledge. Sit our free demo class and note whether you could have worked the topic out from a book alone. Pass: yes. Fail: no, you needed the explanation.
- Schedule. Write a weekly timetable for four weeks and follow it alone. Pass: you complete every week. Fail: you miss any week.
- Practice target. Our recommendation: aim for 70% or more on multiple-choice sets before booking a part. Pass: your latest sets score 70% or more. Fail: they score below 70%.
- Doubt speed. Pass: you can wait a day or more for written answers. Fail: you need a person the same day.
- Edition test. Pass: the material you hold includes CBQ practice and is current for the 2026 format. Fail: it does not, as with older essay-only PDFs.
- Rupee test. At about ₹94 per dollar (6 November 2026), every Gleim product costs more than our tuition. Compare your budget with the Traditional price, about ₹1.41 lakh. Pass: your budget covers it. Fail: it does not.
How do the two compare on teaching, cost, support and exam readiness?
We compare on teaching, cost, support and exam readiness because those four points decide this purchase. Gleim offers a large question bank, while we offer live teaching, rupee pricing and a person to ask. The sections below take each point in turn.
Teaching
Gleim Premium includes video lectures and Traditional includes audio lectures. Both are recorded and self-paced. Our classes add a teacher who answers in the room or on the call, plus recordings for revision. For a first-time candidate, we put teaching ahead of question volume. This is our recommendation.
Cost in rupees
Gleim prices are in US dollars, so the rupee cost is the dollar price multiplied by the rate your bank applies on the day. The rupee column below is our calculation: Gleim's dollar price × about ₹94 per dollar, the rate on 6 November 2026 (Trading Economics), before bank charges. The break-even columns are tuition divided by Gleim's dollar price:
Gleim costs more than our tuition whenever the day's rate is above the break-even figure. At about ₹94 per dollar, every Gleim product costs more than our CMA USA tuition of ₹80,000 (weekday) or ₹60,000 (weekend). Check your bank's rate and the final amount charged before you pay. The comparison is not like for like: Gleim is software, books and lectures, while our fee covers live teaching and support.
Buying Gleim by the part costs more. Traditional is US$899 per part, so US$1,798 for two against US$1,499 for both, a difference of US$299. Premium is US$999 per part, so US$1,998 against US$1,799, a difference of US$199 (Traditional and Premium pages). IMA's own entrance, membership and exam fees are separate from any study product; our CMA USA exam fees page sets them out.
Support
Gleim Premium and Traditional both include a personal counsellor to set a study plan. We add mentoring and doubt clearing built into the course. If your attempts stall, that matters more than another thousand questions.
Trying before you pay
Gleim lets you try one exam topic free. We let you sit a free demo class and speak to our career advisors. The point of a trial is to see which style gets you answering correctly.
Exam readiness after the 2026 change
The Institute of Management Accountants replaced essay questions with case-based questions on the English-language exam from the September/October 2026 window. Gleim's guide to CBQs, published 16 October 2026, says candidates get two CBQs after the multiple-choice section and that Premium has 165+ CBQs and 65+ walkthrough videos. Whichever route you choose, confirm the practice set includes CBQs. Bring that question to our demo class. Our exam-difficulty guide and CMA exam dates show what to plan around.

How we compared
The Gleim figures come from Gleim's own pages as of November 2026, and the rupee figures are our calculation from the dollar prices and the 6 November 2026 rate. Our tuition, formats, resources and support are our own. The break-even rates are tuition divided by Gleim's dollar price.
