CMA Exam Date December 2026: Paper-by-Paper Calendar

CMA Foundation is on 13 December 2026. CMA Intermediate and CMA Final run from 10 to 17 December 2026, with one paper per day for each level. ICMAI published the Inter and Final timetable on 13 August 2026 on its Updates and Announcements page. Every paper is an offline exam held at a centre.

The four Foundation papers are Business Laws and Communication, Financial and Cost Accounting, Business Mathematics and Statistics, and Business Economics and Management. Each has 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for 100 marks.

Inter Group I (Papers 5 to 8) sits on 10, 12, 14 and 16 December 2026, and Group II (Papers 9 to 12) on 11, 13, 15 and 17 December. Final follows the same pattern: Papers 13 to 16 on 10, 12, 14 and 16 December, and Papers 17 to 20 on 11, 13, 15 and 17 December.

Count your own rest days from this table. One group means four papers with one clear day between each. Both groups at one level means eight papers on eight consecutive days, Sunday included.

Foundation is one day, 13 December. It has two shifts. It shares a date with Inter Paper 10 and Final Paper 18, but those are different levels, so nobody at a single level clashes.

Both groups at one level give no rest day. A candidate sitting both Inter groups has no break between Paper 5 on 10 December and Paper 12 on 17 December. Build revision plans around the real gaps, not "a free day before each paper".

Inter reports at 2 pm and Final at 10 am. Inter is the afternoon slot, 2 pm to 5 pm, and Final is the morning slot, 10 am to 1 pm. Use only the notice that names the December 2026 session. Timetables from earlier years differ.

No. As of 28 October 2026, every form window for the December session has closed. Inter and Final forms closed on 10 October, with a ₹500 late-fee window from 11 to 17 October. Foundation forms closed on 14 October, with a ₹500 late-fee window from 15 to 21 October (Careerindia, 7 October 2026).

If you submitted your form, log in at the ICMAI examination portal to check your details and centre. The admit card has usually come about 15 days before the first paper, which points to the last week of November or the first week of December. Treat that as an expectation based on past sessions, not a promised date (Careerindia).

If you did not submit, the next step is the next session.

The next session after December 2026 is June 2027, and you can estimate it from ICMAI's own pattern. Our estimate: the first Inter and Final paper in the second week of June 2027, Foundation in mid-June, and the Inter and Final form closing in the second week of April 2027. This is our model, not an ICMAI date.

Here is the working. We compared four form deadlines from the two 2026 sessions with the first paper of each:

Results follow a pattern too. Foundation results were due 25 days after the exam both times (14 June to 9 July 2026, and 13 December to 7 January 2027). Inter and Final results were due 48 and 50 days after the last paper (18 June to 5 August 2026, and 17 December to 5 February 2027). These are ICMAI's stated latest dates.

Two sessions is a small sample, so use the estimate to plan study and leave, not to skip the notice. ICMAI usually announces a session several months ahead; check its Updates and Announcements page from February 2027.

Registration with ICMAI comes before the exam form. The reported registration cut-off for the June 2027 session is 31 January 2027 (Careers360). Confirm it on the ICMAI student portal, eicmai.in, before you rely on it.

Work backwards from your first paper, then rehearse the real slot. Plan your last-10-days revision window for 30 November to 9 December 2026 for Inter and Final, and 3 to 12 December for Foundation. Our recommendation:

No. The CMA USA exam, run by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), does not have fixed dates for everyone.
