Introduction
Six months on Unacademy's CA Foundation plans comes to at least ₹9,000 on Plus or ₹34,284 on Iconic Pro, at its monthly rates. Each plan is shown as "Starts from" a monthly rate, so the total is yours to work out.
Price is one test among several. The exam's Papers 3 and 4 are answered in English, and in our view a class taught in another language adds a step between lecture and answer sheet. That matters for Chartered Accountancy (CA) Foundation students.
What separates coaches is how they price, what language they teach in, how fast they answer doubts and what you can try before paying.
Below are the facts for both, side by side, and a six-test check you can run on any coach before you pay.
Key takeaways
- Choose iProledge for English-medium teaching, a classroom or live online batch, and a free demo before you pay.
- As of 5 November 2026, Unacademy lists "Starts from" rates of ₹1,500, ₹2,143 and ₹5,714 a month. Six months of Iconic is at least ₹12,858 by our arithmetic. Our CA Foundation fee is ₹25,000.
- Free demo classes and a Career Advisor meeting let you try iProledge before you pay.
- ICAI's pass rule is the same whichever coach you pick: 40 marks in each paper and 50% overall in one sitting.
Unacademy CA Foundation or iProledge: which facts should you compare first?
Compare price basis, teaching language, live format, doubt support, practice tests, demo and refund terms, in that order.
Why choose iProledge for CA Foundation coaching?
Choose iProledge when you want to learn in English, pick between classroom and live online, try a class before paying, and reach a person quickly.
1. We teach in English. Our CA Foundation programme is taught in English. ICAI's Foundation guidance note for January 2027 says Papers 3 and 4 are answered on OMR (optical mark recognition) sheets in English only. Papers 1 and 2 may be answered in English or Hindi. Our recommendation: learn in the language you will write in, so no translation step sits between lecture and exam.
2. You choose the format. We run blended, live online and onsite batches. Our enquiry centres are in Jayanagar and Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, and live online classes are open to learners across India.
3. You can try before you pay. We offer free demo classes and ask you to meet our Career Advisors before joining. Admission then takes under 15 minutes.
4. You get a person fast. Calls to our support line are answered within 5 minutes, WhatsApp within 30 minutes and email within 24 hours.
5. One fee covers practice and mentoring. Our CA Foundation fee is ₹25,000, payable by UPI (Unified Payments Interface), net banking, credit or debit card, or a flexible payment plan. Recordings, study materials, practice questions, mock tests, doubt clearing, study planning and mentoring are part of our course resources. We have trained more than 16,000 students. One learner's result: Ashish Kumar passed CA Foundation at his first attempt with 296/400 (74%) in the September 2025 window, with results announced on 3 November 2025.
How do Unacademy's monthly rates compare with our ₹25,000 fee?
Unacademy's total depends on the months you buy, because each plan is listed as a "Starts from" monthly rate. Our CA Foundation coaching fee is a single ₹25,000 course fee with flexible payment plans.
To see Unacademy's range, multiply the listed rate by the months you need. This is our model, not a price list. It assumes the listed rate applies to every month. Shorter plans may cost more per month, so treat the totals as minimums. We use six and nine months as illustrations (our assumption); Unacademy also advertises a 9-month subscription.
ICAI's own exam fee is separate for any coach: ₹1,500 for a centre in India for the January 2027 exam, plus a ₹600 late fee if the form is filed from 17 to 19 November 2026 (₹2,100 in total), per ICAI's fee chart.
- Plan
- Plus
- Six-month floor
- 6 × ₹1,500 = ₹9,000
- Nine-month floor
- 9 × ₹1,500 = ₹13,500
- Plan
- Iconic
- Six-month floor
- 6 × ₹2,143 = ₹12,858
- Nine-month floor
- 9 × ₹2,143 = ₹19,287
- Plan
- Iconic Pro
- Six-month floor
- 6 × ₹5,714 = ₹34,284
- Nine-month floor
- 9 × ₹5,714 = ₹51,426
What does the CA Foundation exam demand, whichever coach you pick?
The exam is four papers totalling 400 marks. You pass with at least 40 marks in each paper and 50% in aggregate (200 of 400), in one sitting. ICAI holds it in January, May and September.
ICAI's guidance note sets out the rest for the January 2027 exam:
- Paper 1 (Accounting) and Paper 2 (Business Laws) run 3 hours each.
- Paper 3 (Quantitative Aptitude) and Paper 4 (Business Economics) run 2 hours each.
- Papers 3 and 4 deduct one-fourth of a mark for each wrong answer.
Registration for the January 2027 Foundation exam closed on 1 September 2026. The exam form closes on 16 November 2026, or 19 November with a ₹600 late fee (₹2,100 in total). If you have not registered, plan for the May 2027 exam, and work out how many windows you have left with CA Foundation Attempts Left.
How do you check any CA Foundation coach before paying?
Run six tests. Each has a pass and a fail, and you can run all six on Unacademy, on us or on anyone else.
Is the price a total or a monthly rate?
Pass: a written total for the whole period you need. Fail: only a monthly or "starts from" figure. Ask the coach to name the final amount for your months before you pay.
Is the teaching language the language you write in?
Pass: you follow a full demo lecture without translating in your head. Fail: you pause to translate terms. Papers 3 and 4 are answered in English, so test an English-language topic such as Business Mathematics.
Can you sit a class from your actual batch before paying?
Pass: a demo from the batch you would join, with the teacher you would get. Fail: a showreel of another teacher or format. Unacademy batch pages offer demo classes. We offer free demo classes and a Career Advisor meeting.
Who answers a doubt, and how fast?
Pass: a named channel with a response time. Fail: "support available" with no time. Ours: call within 5 minutes, WhatsApp within 30 minutes, email within 24 hours.
What do the guarantee and refund terms say in writing?
Pass: conditions you can read before paying. Fail: an asterisk with no terms. Unacademy's paid plans carry a "*Success Guarantee Programme", so ask for its conditions.
Does the plan include timed practice for Papers 3 and 4?
Pass: timed mock tests for Papers 3 and 4 that deduct one-fourth of a mark per wrong answer. Fail: untimed question lists only. Wrong answers cost marks in those two papers, so practise under that rule.
How can you book a free iProledge CA Foundation demo?

Our verdict
iProledge is the better fit for a CA Foundation student who wants English-medium teaching, a classroom or live online batch and a free demo for one ₹25,000 fee.
How we compared
We compared iProledge and Unacademy on price basis, teaching language, live format, doubt support, practice tests, demo and refund terms, as of November 2026. Unacademy's figures come from its subscription plans page, its Yoddha and Sankalp batch pages and its refund policy as read on 5 November 2026; exam rules and fees come from ICAI's January 2027 documents; iProledge's figures are our own terms. We did not compare teacher quality or pass rates.
