CSEET Study Material: Check Your PDF Is the 2026 Edition

Use the free restructured modules that ICSI publishes for the four papers: Business Communication, Fundamentals of Accounting, Economic and Business Environment, and Business Laws and Management. Download them from ICSI's study material page for the restructured CSEET. The wider CSEET academics page lists the other academic resources.

Each paper carries 100 marks. Paper 4, Business Laws and Management, is OMR-based: you shade bubbles on an optical mark recognition sheet, as set out in ICSI's restructured CSEET syllabus.

The test runs in February, June and October, in offline mode, according to the same ICSI syllabus document.

Run five checks, and treat any single fail as a reason to replace the file with the official ICSI copy. The table shows what a restructured file looks like and what a pre-2026 file looks like. Material written for the earlier multiple-choice format covers legal aptitude, logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude and current affairs. ICSI's study material page is the final word, so confirm anything doubtful there.

Fails on checks 1 or 5 mean the file was written for the earlier test.

What does a pass or fail look like in practice?

Take a file called "CSEET Study Material 2020 PDF". It fails check 3 on the title alone. A pack that includes "Logical Reasoning" fails check 1. A file with the right four titles but no icsi.edu origin passes check 1 and fails check 4, so download the official copy and compare the two before relying on it.

A file that passes all five checks is safe to study from.

Pre-2026 files still circulate because re-hosted copies are not removed when ICSI changes the syllabus, so check every file against ICSI's own page.

The cost of choosing the wrong file is high because of the pass rule. ICSI requires a minimum of 40% in each paper and 50% in aggregate. There is no provision for exemption or carry-forward of marks, as the restructured CSEET syllabus sets out. A candidate who clears three papers well but falls under 40% in the fourth must re-sit the whole test, because nothing carries forward.

None of the four papers is current affairs. If you want to keep up with the economy, study the Economic and Business Environment module instead of a standalone news pack.

For most candidates the ICSI modules are the right base, and what they cannot supply is practice with feedback. That is our recommendation. Three of the four papers expect written answers, which are hard to mark yourself, and Paper 4 is OMR-based, so speed on bubble sheets needs rehearsal.

Here is the routine we suggest:

1. Download the four modules from ICSI and run the five checks above.
2. Read one module at a time and finish the practice questions at the end of each chapter.
3. For Business Communication, Fundamentals of Accounting and Economic and Business Environment, write full answers and ask someone who understands the subject to mark them.
4. For Business Laws and Management, practise on an OMR-style sheet within a time limit.
5. Sit a full timed paper before you pay for anything extra. If one paper scores far below the others, that paper is where your coaching or extra practice should go.
