ACCA Jobs in India: Employers, Entry Roles & When to Apply

ACCA jobs in India are mostly associate and analyst roles in audit, tax and finance shared services. Employers set their own stage requirements, so the right time to apply depends on how many ACCA papers you have passed.

Key takeaways

  • Aim at associate and analyst roles in audit, tax, financial reporting, shared-services finance and UK or US outsourced accounting. In the postings we read on 30 October 2026, the lowest paper counts named were eight (Providence India's internship, which counted exemptions), nine or more (Consark.ai's analyst role) and ten (Deloitte India's tax internship). Several roles asked for affiliates, meaning people who have passed all 13 exams and the Ethics and Professional Skills Module but have not yet completed ACCA's practical experience requirement.

  • If you want audit or tax roles that name a count, start checking postings from about eight papers, and count exemptions the way each posting does. Before that, target internships and roles that name no stage.
  • Published entry-level pay estimates conflict, so do not plan around one figure. The postings we read that showed pay listed amounts such as ₹4 to 5.5 LPA (Deloitte India) and up to ₹6 LPA (HARMAN International).
  • As of 30 October 2026, ACCA's current exam structure ends with the June 2027 sitting, and ACCA credits completed equivalent elements when you move to the redesigned qualification.

A job title tells you little about whether an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) posting is open to you; the stage wording does. Some ask for ten papers passed, some for every exam cleared, some for no number.

That makes "when should I apply?" a bigger question than "who hires?". Apply too early and your application is filtered out. Wait for your final paper and you give up months of the work experience ACCA requires anyway.

It sets out which employers and roles appeared, what stage each asked for, and how to repeat the check yourself.

It is written for B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) and BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) graduates, CA (Chartered Accountant) and CMA (Cost and Management Accountant) students weighing a switch, and part-qualified students looking for a first role. Part-qualified means you have passed some ACCA exams (called papers) but not all 13.

Which companies hire ACCA candidates in India?

We read the listing text of ACCA Careers' India Entry level page (27 full-time jobs) and Part qualified page (31 jobs) on 30 October 2026. Some postings appear on both. Employers named included Deloitte India, EY India, EY GDS, HARMAN International, E.I. Dupont India, Schrödinger, Providence India and Consark.ai, alongside smaller audit and accounting firms.

ACCA Careers' own sector filters show the mix: public-practice accounting had 13 Part qualified jobs and 11 Entry level jobs, and banking and financial services 12 and 7. Job boards report very different totals for the same search, so a raw count says little.

ACCA's own line is that employers worldwide recognise and value the ACCA Qualification. That is a general statement, not an India figure. The postings show what it looks like locally.

What are the Big 4 and mid-tier firm jobs for ACCA students?

The Big 4 are Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC, the four largest accounting firms. In the listings we read on 30 October 2026, Deloitte and EY appeared; KPMG and PwC did not.

Deloitte India listed two Internship in Tax postings (Thane, Mumbai; and Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata) for ACCA students with a minimum of ten papers completed, along with graduation. It also listed a Semi Qualified Audit Analyst role in statutory audit (Mumbai, ₹4 to 5.5 LPA). EY India listed a Senior Analyst in Forensics (Gurugram) for ACCA affiliates or members, and EY GDS listed trainee and consultant assurance roles in Noida and Kolkata.

Mid-tier and smaller firms posted more:

  • Acobloom International: Senior Associate, US Audit (affiliates or members) and Associate, US Audit (contractual, for ACCA students).
  • Buchprufer Consultants: Senior Associate, Audit (Kochi, Calicut), for an ACCA affiliate with Advanced Audit and Assurance as the optional paper.
  • Forvis Mazars India Delivery Platform: Audit Assistant Manager (Pune), asking for 5 to 8 years of external audit experience.

Big 4 jobs for ACCA students therefore appear at several stages in this snapshot: a ten-paper internship, a semi-qualified audit role and affiliate-level roles.

Which global capability centres and in-house finance teams hire ACCA candidates?

A global capability centre (GCC) is an India-based team doing finance, technology or other work for a multinational parent. Shared-services and in-house teams made up six of the 13 postings:

  • E.I. Dupont India (Hyderabad): Account Receivable Associate Analyst (Shared Services), Payroll Accounting Specialist (contract) and Cash Application Specialist (contract).
  • HARMAN International (Whitefield, Bangalore): Associate, Transactional Processing.
  • Schrödinger (Hyderabad): Senior Associate, India Finance.
  • Eka.care (Bangalore): Corporate Finance Intern.

Apex Group's Financial Reporting Senior Associate (Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore) is counted with the firms that sell finance services. These are the companies hiring ACCA in India that were listed on that date. Check the board again before you apply, because postings change.

What are the ACCA entry level jobs in India, and what do they ask for?

For ACCA jobs for freshers in India, the postings we read fell into audit, tax, financial reporting and analysis, management accounting, shared-services finance, UK or US outsourced accounting, and internships. Each row below comes from the listing text on ACCA Careers' India Entry level and Part qualified pages as of 30 October 2026. Where the listing text names no stage, the table says so.

Many listings show no stage in their visible text, so open the full posting. The stages that were named ranged from eight papers (Providence India) through nine or more (Consark.ai) and ten (Deloitte India) to affiliate status (HARMAN, Buchprufer, EY India, Acobloom).

The Entry level and Part qualified labels are not a guarantee of seniority: a Tax Manager was listed up to 35 LPA on the Entry level page, so read the experience line before you apply.

When should you apply for ACCA jobs: before you start, part-way or after the final papers?

Apply when your paper count matches what the posting names. In the postings we read on 30 October 2026, the lowest counts named were eight, nine or more, and ten papers, so earlier-stage candidates should target internships and postings that name no stage. This is our reading of a dated snapshot, not a rule.

First, some arithmetic. Applied Knowledge (3 papers) plus Applied Skills (6) equals nine, so ten papers is those nine plus one Strategic Professional paper. A posting that names eight or nine sits inside Applied Skills. Some postings count exemptions as papers, as Providence India's does, so check how each one counts.

After the final papersHARMAN International, Buchprufer Consultants, EY India and Acobloom International asked for affiliatesApply for associate roles, and start counting practical experience

What does part-qualified mean in postings?

Part qualified ACCA jobs in India in this snapshot named stages from eight to ten papers, and few postings gave a number in their visible text. It is a small sample from one day, and the Part qualified filter also lists roles that ask for years of experience. Exam sessions decide how fast you reach eight to ten papers, so check our ACCA exam dates page.

How does the 2027 redesign change your stage?

As of 29 October 2026, ACCA's timeline shows the final sitting of Applied Skills and Strategic Professional under the current structure in June 2027, and the first Expertise and Strategic Professional exams of the redesigned qualification in September 2027. ACCA states students part-way through will not need to retake equivalent elements they have already completed. Our inference: employers will eventually restate paper counts, so if a posting's count is unclear, ask how it maps.

Where do you find ACCA openings, and how do you repeat this check?

Use ACCA Careers first, then LinkedIn, then employers' own career pages. ACCA Careers is a useful place to start because its Entry level and Part qualified filters narrow roles to those written for ACCA candidates, and postings there show stage wording.

To repeat our check in about fifteen minutes:

  1. Open ACCA Careers for India, Entry level, then Part qualified.
  2. Record ten postings: employer, role, location and the stage wording ("affiliate", "pursuing", a paper count).
  3. Compare each stage with your own paper count. A pass is a posting naming a stage at or below yours, or naming none. A fail is one naming more.

On LinkedIn, search "ACCA" with a role such as audit associate and read the description for stage wording. On firms' career pages, look at employers whose postings you have seen, such as Deloitte India, since a listing there may differ from the job board. Note the posting date each time, because postings expire.

How do you build your profile while studying for ACCA?

Start with an internship, then make your résumé state your stage precisely, then prepare for basics-heavy interviews. Internships are the main route for early-stage candidates. ACCA internships in India appeared in two forms in our snapshot: Eka.care's 3 to 6 month finance internship, and Deloitte India's tax internship, which asked for ten papers plus graduation.

For your résumé, our recommendation:

  • Write "ACCA student, N papers passed" and name the papers.
  • List exemptions separately from passes, since exemptions work differently.
  • Describe relevant work in terms of tasks you did.

ACCA's practical experience rules let you use experience from roles before or after registering, so an early job or internship can count. Our practical experience guide explains how.

For interviews, our recommendation: prepare for the basics, such as financial statements, the accounting cycle and why you chose ACCA. Our interview tips for finance and accounting freshers cover them. Résumé wording that states your paper count clearly helps with ACCA job opportunities in India.

What pay should you expect from ACCA jobs?

Published entry-level pay estimates conflict, so treat any single figure with caution. One tuition provider puts entry-level ACCA pay in India at about ₹2 to 7 LPA; another, Learnsignal, gives ₹6 to 12 LPA for newly qualified ACCA holders. These are estimates, not employer data, and neither shows its method.

The postings we read show why the figures differ. Deloitte India's semi-qualified audit analyst role listed ₹4 to 5.5 LPA, HARMAN International's affiliate role up to ₹6 LPA, Consark.ai's analyst role up to ₹5 LPA and Acobloom International's contractual US audit associate role ₹3.6 LPA, while experienced roles on the same boards listed far more. Role, employer and city change the figure. For how pay varies, see our ACCA pay by role and experience page.

How does iProledge help you get to your first ACCA role?

We coach ACCA across its three levels and 13 exams, currently. Alongside the coaching, our career counsellors help you decide when to apply, using your paper count against what postings ask for. We also help with your résumé, including how to state your stage and exemptions.

That is the sequence this guide describes: pass the papers, apply when your stage matches, and present your experience clearly. Our ACCA coaching classes in Bangalore page has the course details.

What should you do next about ACCA jobs in India?

Count your papers, run the three-step check on ACCA Careers this week, and apply where the stage matches yours. Do not wait for the final paper to start: the postings that named a stage asked for between eight and ten papers, semi-qualified status, affiliate status or, in one case, qualified or pursuing. Many named no stage in their visible text, and ACCA's experience requirement runs alongside your exams.

Frequently asked questions

Sometimes, mostly internships. As of 30 October 2026, ACCA Careers' Entry level filter showed 7 internships, and none of the postings we read named a paper count below eight. A fresher with no papers should aim at internships that name no stage first, then apply for roles as papers are passed.
For roles that name a count, between eight and ten in the postings we read on 30 October 2026: eight at Providence India's finance internship (exemptions counted), nine or more at Consark.ai, and ten at Deloitte India's tax internship. Many postings named no stage in their visible text. Start applying from about eight papers for roles that name a count, and earlier only to internships and roles naming none.
Yes, in the postings listed. The 13 came from firms and companies that asked for ACCA by name, as students, part-qualified candidates or affiliates (all exams passed). The board is ACCA's own, so it lists roles written for ACCA candidates. Treat it as one dated snapshot, not a market total.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh lead the state counts on ACCA Careers. On 30 October 2026 the full-time Entry level page showed Maharashtra 13, Tamil Nadu 5, Delhi 4 and Uttar Pradesh 4. The Part qualified page showed Uttar Pradesh 8, Maharashtra 7, Tamil Nadu 6, Delhi 5 and Andhra Pradesh 5. Karnataka, where Bengaluru sits, showed 1 and 2. A few employers post many roles in one city, so treat this as a snapshot, not a ranking. For Bengaluru, see our Bengaluru ACCA careers post.
Apply while you finish, not afterwards. Four of the 13 postings asked for affiliates (all exams passed), and ACCA's 36 months of practical experience continues after the exams. Filter ACCA Careers for your stage, tailor your résumé to the wording, and record the experience as you go.
No. ACCA's requirement is 36 months of relevant work with five Essentials and at least four Technical objectives, and experience from before or after registering can count. None of the 13 postings asked for 36 months; the highest was 1 to 3 years' experience.
