What the six answers measure
Most answers are worth 0, 1 or 2 points, while the academic-starting-point answer is worth 0 or 1 point. The total runs from 0 to 11, with equal-width result bands at 0–3, 4–7 and 8–11. Your score reflects the route signals in your answers, not a prediction of earnings, exam results, employment or migration outcomes.
ICAI’s current New Scheme has four Foundation papers, six Intermediate papers and six Final papers. It also requires two years of practical training after both Intermediate groups and the four-week Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills. ICAI’s New Scheme FAQ sets out those requirements. ACCA’s 2026 registration guidance requires up to 13 exams, an Ethics and Professional Skills module and three years of relevant experience, which may be gained before, during or after exams. The route signals behind the score
The role question has a regulatory boundary
ACCA’s India-specific advertising rules state that ACCA is not equivalent to CA in India. The same rules state that statutory-auditor functions in India are reserved for ICAI-qualified Chartered Accountants, while ACCA members can work in audit departments. ACCA’s India advertising rules make this distinction explicit.
Your academic background is a route check, not an automatic shortcut. ICAI permits Foundation and Direct Entry routes for Intermediate, while ACCA assesses exemptions after reviewing qualifications and supporting documents. Keep the budget answer practical
