The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) offers a professional program of study called the CS (Company Secretary). The CS program is divided into three levels: Foundation, Executive, and Professional.

CS Exam Curriculum
A CS Course comes with 3 Levels and they are,
1. CSEET
This includes four subjects of 200 Marks each, with each exam lasting two hours.
Mode of Examination: The examination mode can be either Remote Proctored Mode or any other mode determined by the Council.
2. CS EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME
The Executive program consists of two groups with seven subjects each, carrying 100 marks. The exam duration for each exam is three hours.

3. PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME
The final exam in Company Secretary consists of seven papers of 100 marks exam divided into two groups. The examination for each subject will be of three hours duration.

To pass the CS Foundation/Executive/Professional Programme, a candidate must score a minimum of 40% in each exam and 50% in the aggregate of all subjects in a single sitting.
CS Exam Eligibility Criteria in India
CS FOUNDATION PROGRAMME or CSEET Course
Eligibility:
Examination for Senior Secondary (10+2) Candidates with a pass in the Arts, Science, and Commerce Streams (excluding Fine Arts) are eligible for admission.
CS EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME
Eligibility:

CS Foundation Programme Pass.

Candidates should pass the Foundation Examination of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Candidates should pass the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)

Candidates from Arts, Science, Commerce Graduates/ Post Graduates (excluding Fine Arts) are eligible for admission

Candidates must be at least 17 years old.

Candidates possessing any of the following qualifications are exempted from passing CS Foundation Programme:
a) A bachelor's or master's degree in Corporate Secretaryship or Commerce; or
b) Pass the ICAI (Cost) or ICAI or any other Accountancy Institution in India or abroad recognized as equivalent by the Council; or
c) A bachelor's or master's degree in a field other than fine arts.
CS PROFESSIONALPROGRAMME
Eligibility:
A candidate for this level must have completed the foundation and executive levels successfully.
